Okay so I replaced my old intake manifold with a new one, because like an idiot I stripped out one of the holes for the throttle body bolts. Ever since then I can't get my car to idle. It starts revs up to 3grand then as it starts to drop revs it dies. It does pretty much the same thing no matter what i try to adjust. And with the maf pulled it revs a little lower then three stays running maybe a couple seconds longer and then dies.........I have removed and re installed the manifold with no success. Because I originally thought it was just a huge boost leak from not tightening the manifold down properly.

Does anyone have any ideas? The only thing I can think to do is to boost leak test it agian....Not sure if that would even help though.......

Any help would of course be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks! :D

If the boost leak shows that you have no vacuum lines cracked or not hooked up, check your TPS switch. It could be faulty and giving an incorrect signal to the computer, either that or an IAC.

What do you mean with the MAF pulled it does as you said? Without the MAF it should not even start. Did you keep the ISC you had on the mani you stripped? Or did you use the ISC that came on the "new" mani? Did you clean the TB when you replaced the mani? Sometimes a little carbon build-up causes noticeable problems. Also, did you pull the mani while the head remained on the car, or did you pull the entire head?

The ISC is the same one from my old manidfold that I removed. And Yes i did clean the throttle body both time I removed it. I thought of this lucky before I started bolting everything back on. I pulled it(the manifold), with the head still on and the motor in the car. Actually come to think of it I also pulled the valve cover and replaced the seal with a new one. Does this help? And it does start with the Maf Unplugged.

I'm going to try and boost leak test it agian after I get a hold of my freinds air compressor.

Thanks

Okay so I got a compressor and started the fun of boost leak testing all over agian. I found a couple leaks. I have fixed all but one. It's leaking where the throttle body bolts to the intake mani. I have replaced the gasket and it still leaks I rtv'ed the gasket and it still leaks!!!! Should I just try another new gasket? I don't want to just keep buying gaskets if they are all just going to blow out.......

Thanks
