I suspect that the valves are bent. however!
The tensioner went on my car. i checked the compression, it showed 120psi, and bled off to zero after about 10 seconds. it starts and runs, but makes a tapping noise.
however i have pulled the head. and the valves seem to seal, i cannot see any visible damage.
Is it possible, that because the tensioner was blown, it was allowing the cams to turn just a little bit, making it tap.
Im about to send the head off to rebuilt. but if i can save 400 bucks i would like to.
ive looked for some pictures to see if i can make a comparison, but didnt find any, so i thought i would ask.
thanks.
Chris
