okay,
my brother just got a 91 laser rs, and it supposedly had a bad ecu.

so i had a 3 other ecu's for 1g's lyn around, and we found one that worked. well, that turned out to be my good ecu(it's out of the car right now) so i got him to switch it out with another that worked.
his car ran for awhile, but had a terrible overheating problem(it sat for 2 years). so when we topped off the radiator and the cooling system we figured that would fix it.
then the car refuses to start. so i go on dsmtuners, and figure we probly have a bad capacitor or 2. We replaced those(according to the tech article) and figured that would fix it, but it didn't.
so, then we checked the spark plugs, they get spark and all the good stuff, and then move on to the injectors. we find one with crazy high resistance, and after much trouble, found the wire that was bad, and ran a new one through the firewall down to the ecu connector(in the right spot, we checked it with a voltometer and all).
so we try to start it up, and now the ecu that previously read 0 on the "boost gauge" like it's supposed too, dosn't do anything.
i tried putting back in my good ecu, and it did the same thing
it cranks and cranks, and almost starts, and then dies

so.. Anyone have any ideas on what might also be going on here??
