Wow, I haven't posted on this forum (except once), but I am a dsm'er and have been awhile. I've been on other forums and have asked this question, but no one could help me.

I grenaded a transmission awhile back, and had to buy another transmission. I b/l the new transmission is from a '90. The previous transmission(and car for the matter) had been seriously neglected/abused. I went to install the new transmission, and all went well... Until I went to install the transmission mount. The bolts from my old transmission weren't the originals and were far too large(in diameter) to fit into the new transmission. I am totally clueless as to the size of the bolts I need. It's not like I can drive the car to the auto parts store and play with bolts inthe parking lot til I have it sorted out.

Does anyone have any idea of the size of the transmission bolts?!?

BTW,
My car is a '91 Talon Tsi (FWD/5-speed).
