Ok ok I know that this can come on for a multitude of reasons. I drove my car with it on for about 3k miles because I have a faulty sensor in my EGT gauges. I got it erased, but this time seemed different. I was driving home and decided to feed my car some speed. Second gear around a soft corner and I hit boost and it felt like the turbo kept spooling and wanted to go past the 10psi it was set at. (i dont have a boost controller at the moment) I shift into third and the CEL comes on I look and see my oil pressure was all the way on 0. Granted this is the stock gauge the car came with and I know stock guages can sometimes be not accurate. Ive been having this problem with the turbo it seems only in second gear and im wondering what it could be? and then this oil pressure thing? Also the car has been idling at 1200 RPMs until I hit the gas and then it drops back to 750. Im thinking a sticky throttle cable on that.
I have too many mods to list on here, but here are the most important. Any feedback as to what this could be would be appriciated.
S-AFC II
550 injectors
T3/T4 turbo 50 trim
Injen cold air intake
precision FMIC
Apexi N1 cat back exhaust
tranny has like 5k on it
clutch has like 5k on it
67,xxx miles

so you are getting no oil pressure what so ever? Have you tried checking your Oil pump?

I am pretty sure I am getting oil pressure, but it did happen like a mile away from my house and I havent driven it since then(about 2 weeks) I am not currently driving it because of winter, just wanted some ideas why this would happen.
When it happened it drove normal, and I didn't see any oil pouring out behind me so I figured it was ok?

Stupid question, check your oil level? I didnt know my dsm was leaking oil until I took an off ramp at about 60mph and the oil light kicked on since it all sloshed to one side (thanks to a leaking oil cooler). plus some jackass cut out the baffle of my oil pan before i had it.

After that I would hook up a manual oil pressure gauge and start it up. If theres no pressure or less than 11 psi then I would say you need a oil pump. If the pressure is good then I would put on a sending unit. I just put a sending unit on my 1g for a similiar problem with the stock gauge going to zero.

While it was nice of you to post your mod list... you really left out the really important stuff like what the check engine light code was. EGT's are not monitored by the factory ECU so I'm not sure if you meant EGR or simply mentioned EGT's just for the heck of it.

From the sounds of things this really sounds like a bad combination for the car. A check engine light on forover 3,000 miles and you don't really seem to know what it's related to, you wanted to go past the 10 psi the car was set at but don't have a boost controller... as in... not even the factory set-up? And to top it all off your oil light comes on and you kept driving because you didn't see any oil pouring out behind you as you're going down the road?

I think the car is very lucky that it's parked right now due to the weather.

You need to find out why the check engine light is on because if it's for an upstream o2 sensor stays at center or a fuel system lean code then you're burning your valves and will be doing an engine rebuild or replacement before long.

The oil pressure light, when working properly, will only come on when oil pressure drops below 5 psi. That's hardly any pressure and if your oil is worn then you're basically pushing around oil that doesn't lubricate very well anyways. The 4g63 is notorious for leaking oil around the oil pressure sending unit and oil pan area and the sending units are also known for going bad on them so you may have a low oil level and an oil pressure loss at the sending unit.

If you're low in oil then you could be starving the engine each time you take a turn too fast and the oil sloshes away from the oil pickup.

You might want to spend some more time on maintenance and repairs and less time on go fast parts.

No the oil light did NOT come on. The check engine light came on and the oil pressure gauge dropped to 0. I am getting it looked at before I mod anything else. Im also doing a 60k mile checkup as the previous owner was a hack and a tard and probably didnt do it.
Im just a normal dude trying to learn more about my car. This is my first turbo car and im really still in the learning stage of getting to know it. So forgive me if I dont have the code for the CEL. I dont have DSMLink or any scan tool.
For being a DSM wiseman you should have looked more carefully at my post. I did cover why the CEL light was on before. And when I got it looked at(like 70 miles before this happened)
My EGT sensor was bad, and has been bad since I got the car. The place I got it fixed at told me not to worry about it. That has been the reason why the CEL has been coming on.
So in the future I would appreciate it if you dont treat me like im a retard, and actually try and answer my question, rather than pointing out all the things that i didnt even mention in my question that was wrong.

Sorry for venting,
Dan

Any Checker Auto Parts, Autozone, Advance Auto, etc will scan your car's OBDII codes for free. Checker will even print out what codes came up and you can take that print-up to any shop or dealership and save yourself the cost of them hooking up their scanner and charging you an hour's labor to do it.

Get the code read, do NOT get it erased, and report back to us the exact trouble code number and description.

EGT: Exhaust Gas Temperature

As I stated above this is NOT part of a factory set-up so either the guy who "fixed" your car either was blowing sunshine ... or you are mistaken about the terminology and not given the right information to those who are reading your post and capable of helping you.

If your oil gauge dropped to "zero" then you have no oil pressure which is the equivalent to the oil pressure light coming on so I don't really know why you argue that point it's like saying 6 of 1 while I say half a dozen of another. They both equal the same thing and the end result is that you don't have oil pressure and you continued to drive your car.

If me pointing things out in this manor has made you "feel like a retard" well, I can't make you feel the way you do. I've mearly pointed out a few facts here, you had no oil pressure and EGT is not part of the system that would turn on the Check Engine Light. As Mr. Boxx has suggested you can have the fault codes retrieved, for free, at autozone or you can buy a cheap code reader at autozone if you are concerned about driving the car with an oiling issue.

I will have it checked out friday when I get my 60k mile service done. Sorry for being a bastard, I wrote that after work (13 hour day) and I was really cranky. I do appreciate the help
**EDIT**
60k mile service was not needed as everything was up to date which is a suprise. It did, however, bring up another concern.
The bolts on my exhaust manifold from the down pipe to the manifold are for some reason rattling out. When I first bought the car the place that fixed it was in charge of taking care of this. So hopefully they will fix it for free (they probably will, they did last time I had an issue with some gaskets)
