Ok, this is a 3 part question. First the easy one. Is there any difference in the ngk bpr7es-11's. I asked for the 7's at pepboys and these are what they gave me. Second, i just got my safc installed and i did some tuning and logged, and im getting minor knock (6 at most right before boost sets in) but looking at my o2 readings im not in the 90's. I top out at .87 Is that still lean. should I pay attention to that or just tune for no knock? And lastly, i have my o2 dump installed now. For some reason after switching to the 16g I cant get more than 16lbs of boost, and also i can begin to hear the exhaust coming from the dump as early as 6-7 psi. does this sound right. I dont know if they dropped it or something during shipping but the waste gate does look a little funky. Thanks in advance.

1) Never heard of 11's, I would just go to a local NAPA if you have one near you; they always seem to stock the right plugs

2) don't pay attention to narrowband readings, they're worthless. Richen the SAFC up about 3% and log again, lean out until the point of having no knock. On a 1g, def. tune for no knock when you can.

3) Wastegate is probably messed up or bent. If you look at the actuator itself, it bolts to the turbo with 3 bolts. Get some 12mm washers (like 2-3 of them) and shim them on. This puts excess pressure on your WGA and will hold your flapper door down, as it is seeming to blow open. If you got your 16G brand new from a vendor, definitely contact them and see if they can get you a new WGA since they fubared it.

do you happen to have the part number for the ngk 7's? the part number for the 6's is 1128. the ass working at advanced auto said i need to find the part number for him.

the stock number on these is 7226, and I got the turbo from a evo I in japan, so no luck on getting a new wastegate.

I don't understand why the car guys need part numbers, the damn thing READS BPR7ES, what else do you need? All they have to do is look in the back at the NGK section and go from there. The idiocy of these people piss me off

The evoI turbo should be similar, if not the same, to an e316G, perhaps you should look into that.

oh, you're welcome. :boring:
