Hey guys so heres the scoop. The other day I go out to my car to leave just like every day and it decides to turn and turn but not start. I figured it was the spark plugs but I checked that..theres plenty of spark. Somehow fuel is not getting to the engine so I checked the pump and the filter and they are fine it is something electrical after the filter. I tried starting it after I checked all the fuel pressure and this time it started and then with a few click noises it died. The clicks seemed to come from the dash or the firewall and every time it would click the RPMs would drop in a surge. I have no Idea what this is so I am jsut wondering if maybe there is a relay that went out or something minor like that or if i am screwed. Anyone ever have this problem before. Maybe the FPR went out cause I was running a walbro 255 with the stock FPR and I know thats not that good. Any other questions just hit me back hope this was thorough enough. Thanks guys.

p.s. On really cold dAYS when the car wasnt up to temp it would do the same click noise and drop in RPMs in a surge but only once so it wouldnt die....maybe that had something to do with it finally going out but it wasnt cold the day this happened....im lost....:laser:

Have the caps in the ecu been replaced? Sounds like the fuel pump relay is clicking on and off causing the rpms to dip. Check here for info on caps.

They have never been replaced to my knowledge so I am convinced thats ###### whats wrong....anyone else have any ideas cause I will defiantely check that out when I start wrenching on it. That link you gave was very good.

Just a heads up on this. If it is in fact the ecu caps have been leaking, you could be looking at some repair to the traces/components around the caps. If you're lucky, though, it'll just need to be cleaned and have the caps replaced.

Well The capacitors are way past bad and the comp is pretty toasted so now I am trying too track down a comp for cheap....thanks for all your help guys.
