I just finished installing my K&N FIPK. Everything went together fine. When i took the car out for a drive I noticed i want building as much boost(accoding to the stock gauge, dont have aftermarket one yet). The blow off valve was also much quieter than before. When i stopped at a stop sign i noticed my RPM would drop around 100-300rpm! if i put the car in park it would jump back up to around 750-800rpm. Also when i first start the car it'll drop to 100rpm and then go back up to 750.

anyone have any idea why im not building as much boost and the idle is so low when im in drive?

first of all, you should invest in an aftermarket boost gauge because the stock one is literally a POS. About the rpm's dropping, check to see if you forgot to reconnect any of the vacuum hoses if you took out any....Just a thought

Did you recconect your maf pluggin, seems like people seem to forget about that a bit and it causes those same symptoms.

I'm willing to stop by and help you fix the problem.

Don't bother PMing me. My mailbox is full and it's going to stay that way for now. Just say the word in this thread.

i'll let you know, i think it might be like this because i had to reset the ecu. So i'll drive it around today and see if anything changes

Keep us informed. :)

ok, i drove it around a little today, not much b/c the weather is really crappy. The idle is better but the BOV is still alot quieter and definately alot different than before I installed the intake.

I would say the idle problem is because of the resetting of the ECU. The idle will always be a little off when you reset the ECU, but after driving for about 5-10 mins it should regain itself.
Have you checked for boost leaks yet?
It's weird that the BOV got quieter.
