Creeping tial 40, unexplainable

So here's the situation: I run a stock 14b with the fuel works done at 20 psi using a greddy profec type B. my tial 40 mm gate is off the manifold. once i start hitting higher rpms (5000 or so) it begins to creep, even though you can hear that the gate is open. i've experimented with the gain setting on the controller wtih little luck. also have an hks vpc and gcc if they haev any effect on it. any help or ideas welcome! :)
 
your 3" o2 housing and 3" downpipe/exhaust might have something to do with it.
try hooking up the side port vacuum nipple of the wastegate straight to the nipple on the intercooler pipe and see how much its running then. it should not go over whatever spring you have in the wastegate.
 
ok well i took and tried that, but no luck. could it be taht my wastegate is stuck closed or could it even be a bad boost leak causing it?
 
i'm running the stock manifold and my profile needs to be updated i haev a turboback exhuast its on the right side of the manifold (from the front of the car) right near the exhuast, they are attachted together side by side, if that makes any sense, not exactly sure how to explain it ha

ya i know LOL i bought the car like this its not my fault i promise. ya that was my next thought check it to see if its even opening at all.

i think the guy i bought it from was planning on putting a 20g on it right away but had to sell it so ya ha. its crazy overkill on this turbo
 
k well i haven't had time to get around to taking the wastegate off and taking a look, im sure you're right defiant, but i was also just wondering if it could possibly be that the gate has way too stiff of a spring in it? i dont know much about them and i didnt put this one on so i dont know what kind of spring is in it, but would that make any sense, not enough pressure to open it fully?
