Chatter from shifter???

Hey Guys,
So the other day I heard so chatter coming from right under the shifter in my 95 GSX, so i dropped in some Penzoil synchromesh into the tranny and X-fer case. Now it seems whenever I'm moving pretty good (boosting)(over 50mph) I get this chatter or vibrating sound from right under the shifter. Sounds like it inside the cabin. Any ideas. Has anyone experience something like this?

I plan on removing the center console to get at the shifter but I'm not sure what to look for. All ideas and opinions are appreciated.

Check your shifter plate it might be loose. I know I changed out mine and went with the bushing kit helps out a lot.

Sorry to sound like such a noob but where exactly is the shift plate?

When you take off your console you with see it. Shifter bolts to it. There are rubber bushings that hold it down. Also check for anything out of place. Make sure everything is tight.
