Hey guys, this is my stock 92 talon turbo auto awd completely stock 80k
I let my friend borrow it to drive home cause we are away at college
he gets back and looks upset and tells me my car has been smoking and the oil light is on, and that he added over 4 quarts of oil and it lost it all in the 3 hour ride back. Also that my car had been smoking terribly upon acceleration, when i popped the hood, smoke came out of my air filter, not thick but it was smoke, the guy i bought the car from lowered it so i can barely fit under there, im a big guy, but i cant see where its coming from, the usual grime is on the oil pan, theres a line coming out of the bottom of the oil pump that seems fine, but the oil seems to have dripped from around there. I dont have all my tools or a jack here, so i think im going to have to bring it somewhere, do you gusy think i can handle this with an oil change place or will I have to go to a real mechanic. I was supposed to go home for my gfs birthday on friday, so this needs urgent attention. I have good skills with these cars its my 3rd one that I have owned and if i had been at home this wouldnt be such a huge deal, i dont even have my haynes manual up here with me and my car has to stay in a parking lot. any suggestions or help on what could be wrong or a course of action would be very much appreciated.

thankyou in advance

Are you noticing any oil on the ground where you are parking? What color is the smoke that is comming out of the exhaust? My guess is blueish since you are eating oil. Sounds like you should take it to a mechanic for this issue. Have you checked for shaft play in the tubro, since its smoking under acceleration.

You might have bad turbo oil seals but there is no way you can loose that much amount of oil in that amount of time by turbo seals. If you have oil leaking under I would surely get it checked out immeditely. Very good possibilty leaky oil pan or buring oil or even both. Get it check out. Good luck.

My best guess is the seals, maybe caused by an clogged return line?
there is some oil on the ground not much , like i said i didnt see it, my friend had my car, my flex pipe is leaking so if the oil is in the exhaust it might drip from there if its leaking into the turbo, I might pull the turbo off and take a look but who knows.

This isnt a small problem that has been happening, he just brought it back to me and told me that, something had to have blown
