Ignition Problem

OK i just got a 91 Laser Turbo and it has been sitting up for about three years. We have done all the necessary tune ups to ensure a safe first start. But our problem is that we are not getting any spark. First we changed the plugs and wires still no fire. So our next thing was the coils. I have a coil over spark setup on my 99 and we plugged it in thinkin it would solve our problems but yet there was still no spark. Now we believe that it is the power transitor but we are trying to figure out if we are going in the right direction. Any help will be appreciated. We are not compleatly sure that all of the necessary fues are replaced. So some base knowelage would be helpful to thanks..

Had same kind of problem year ago. Tried a few things ended up being the CAS. good luck

Yep, the problem is most likely either the CAS or the ECU. I had this problem twice and both times for me tunes out the ECU was fried.

Well not ten mins after posting this i went back and looked at the car before giving up for the night and come to find out that no one had thought to look for a ECU.. well got another ecu and finaly got it to start up. But i dont know about anyone else here but the feeling u get when a motor starts up for the first time in years is great. Thanks for the help.
