Just trying to figure it out just incase it comes back.


Last night i did an oil change and went out to my G/F's place about 20 min away (highway)

At 60 i wanted to do a log run to see my max air flow, 27.42lbs/min @ 18psi

this was on the second pull tho.
on the first i downshifted and felt no acceleration and looked out the back to see the black smoke from the unburned fuel...
this was under acceleration not seeing black between shifts.

so i did it again and got my log.
but what was that about the first time?

ive been doing pulls everywhere ive gone today (when safe with nobody around), and it has not repeated itself yet.

boost leak?
missed timing?
anything??

no im recirculated...

Plugs are only a hundred or 2 miles old.

Maybe i had a boostleak under extreme conditions thats being masked at the moment??
 
New plugs are just as succeptable to fouling as old ones.

Possible that the rocking of the engine could be pulling one of your couplers apart. I'd definitely boostleak check post-turbo to make sure everythign is tight/leakfree.

It's also possible that you hit fuel cut due to a sudden boost spike or your ECU picked up knock (real or mechanical) and killed timing to safeguard your engine :dsm:
