My car keeps turning off, HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!

ok, i have a 1996 GST and recently i was messing around with my friends speeding and stuff. The next morning I went to the store and my car kept turning off when I braked at stops. It seems that when I brake or put it in neutral my RPM's go to zero and the whole car just shuts off and the steering wheel gets impossible to move. What could be wrong with my car?

Similar thing happened to me on my 96 GST. It ended up being my Idle Air Control Valve. The steering wheel gets hard to move because the car is using power steering.

hmm, not sure about the car shutting off, but your PS issue is caused when the car shuts off, the power steering pump obviously stops working thus bringing you back to the good ol days of power arm steering

It could be your ISC or a BOV not being recirculated. Should fill out your vehicle profile to help us out a lot better.

yea sounds like a BOV or ics problem.

inless you blew a intercooler hose i have had this problem witha 2g befor.

Yeah by looking at your profile I'm guessing your BOV isn't recirculated back into the intake is it?

Reroute the BOV and that might fix it.

check for vacuum leaks. check for boost leaks. recirculate your bov. that should do it. keep us posted.

Yeah man its probably the AIC valve. I had this same probalem last week with my car. I ordered one and i put it on last night and car runs just fine now.

sounds like a vacuum leak or mad boost leak. i had the same problem. the hose from the turbo to the intercooler was torn.
