wierd top end ticking

i drove the car the day before. it was fine . got up the next morning and the topend was ticking ,and it has little power. help. it is a 92 laser 16 valve dohc.thanks 4 your time.

What's your oil level at?

Ticking can come from the intake side of the head (Fuel Injectors) the Exhaust side (exhaust leak) or from the Top (lifters or valves)

you can buy a mechanic's stethescope or use the old fashioned screwdriver technique if you have trouble telling where the noise is coming from. sometimes its hard to tell just by listening normally.
