Alright well this all started about a few days ago. Got on it going down the highway and after about 3 gears I let off and wait a sec to slow down then it puffs a pretty big cloud of smoke. It's blue I think. Very wierd though only under like vaccum or just letting off after a hard run. Doesn't do it any other time. Car is built so everything is new as of 15k miles or so I dont know what this could be. Totally baffled why. Possibly faulty pcv valve? Just sucking in oil under vaccum. Or others I was thinking could be bad valve guides and possibly the turbo? It's a new turbo as of a year ago. 18g from forced performance.:laser:

I had that same problem and it turned out to be a dying turbo that was blowing oil through the exhast side. The compressor was bone dry though. It sounds like you should start saving up for a rebuild or replacement. Pull the downpipe off at the O2 housing and see if there's any oil buildup.

I'll pull it apart tomarrow and take a look. This sucks. Thing is like brand new as of exactly about one year. :notgood:

Did you happen to have any shaft play when you noticed this. I called forced performance and they said check the pcv to see if it's clogged. My turbo has no shaft play at all. Theres no excess oil in there or anything. I think I mite try a new pcv and see if that works.

Here is a picture that I just took about 10 min ago. Looks like we have a leak around the turbo clamp.

Anyone else think this is probably the problem? To me It looks like it is, but other ideas are greatly appreciated.

i am having the same problem right now i just bought a used precision t and e only had 4000 miles on it and my car smokes a little at idle but when i am coming out of boost when shifting gears i throw out a cloud of smoke that could choke a donkey! head only has 20k on it and the motor has 150 across the board could that much smoke be coming from the valves . the turbo has very little shaft play I pulled the lower intercooler pipe and had no oil nor was any in the intake. Can you take the pcv out to eliminate that possibility
