First time I have ever done a boost leak test from the Compressor inlet and I can not build much more than 7 psi of pressure in the system. Took the oil filler cap off and can hear a burbling sound. Now usually I do a boost leak test post-compressor without problems, but decided to try it this way . . .
Is this normal for a BB turbo? Or does it sound as if something is awry . . .
The only way I can think the air would be getting into the bottom-end is going past the compressor through the center cartridge and down through the oil return line.
It's a PTE GT3076r if that helps any
