sup guys, same story again, project 91 gsx, got it cheap seemed like a good deal, is giving me a very big headache. so ive had the car for about 3 and a half months now and its always ran pretty good, but about 4 days ago i got up one morning and it would crank but wont start, i cranked it a few times and pumped the gas and it fired right up, it sounded ok idled fine for about 15-20 seconds and then it just died very quickly and it hasnt started since. i got out and first things first, checked for spark, and there is no spark at all. i replaced all the plugs and wires, still no spark, i tested the coil pack with a ohm meter, it tested good. i was about to test the ignitor or control module or whatever you want to call it but my haynes said i have to jump it with a battery and all this shit that i dont have right now so i put that off for now. i was looking at that pretty little CAS or cam position sensor or whatever you wanna call it:p and saw the two of the wires had the rubber around them cut but the wires were still intact, that confused the shit out of me. i mean the car had obviosly been ran hot before because a lot of the plastic and rubber stuff around the wiring harnesses were kinda melted alll over the car but i checked and all the wires seemed to be okay, nothing melted or broken. so what else could be causing me to get no spark? i was gonna try to put a new cas in and see if that does it maybe tomrow or when ever i can get ahold of my dude who has one. is there anything else i should check? its getting fuel to the fuel rail by the way, just no spark, thanks guys

anyone? i found a CAS for $20 bucks on ebay im about to buy, hopefully thats it, is there anyway to test the CAS?

Most cars it's gonna be the ignition.
Check all of your fuses.
Due an ohm check on the ignition.
If those are good, then check the sensors...

sweet thanks ill try that when it stops raining. i think the ecu is alright, if it was messed up i dont think my car would spray fuel and it does soo. ill try the igniter first but thanks anyway

Actually, the ecu can be damaged and do whatever it wants almost. There are varying degrees of a bad ecu. Do not rule out anything without checking it first.
