1st gear jump

Hi, I just installed my new ACT clutch in my Eagle Talon 93 AWD TSI and after finishing the work and going to test it, my 1st gear jumped. Sometimes it stays in 1st when you find the right spot, sometimes i have to hold it on 1st to stay in it and sometimes it JUMPS. All the other gears are ok even the reverse.

What's the problem ?

When you replaced the clutch, did you

1) have the flywheel resurfaced and machined to the correct step height?
2) torque everything correctly (most importantly the pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts)?
3) adjust the clutch pedal freeplay in accordance with your service manual?

These may seem like very basic questions, but with the limited information in your post, it's the best starting point.
