Well just got the head back from edgars machine shop yesterday turned out it had a few cracked valve guides and some other things. Nothing but good things to say about edgar's. Amazing work great stuff.

But I put it all back together tonight started it up. It ran great for a couple of minutes again and started to do the same exact thing it did before.

It runs super rich enough to shut down the car. I unplugged the MAF and it would run fine a Little rough but a lot better than with the MAF plugged in. Its just a 2G Maf and i even tried swapping maf's with no effect.

At least I know now the head is not the problem which is great.

Its got a 60k block on the bottom and a second time around rebuilt head. Stock fuel etc. I can not figure this out for the life of me. Is it a wiring problem? Maybe FPR? Last time we checked this on the link the ECU was seeing 6 times the normal amount of air flow and counter acting that with massive amounts of fuel when the car went into open loop. I would check it on the link now but my laptops are dead or stolen.

Months and months of work and I'm back to square one again.

I'm going to bed I give up for the night.

If you say it's a fuel condition. I would check the injectors and make sure one of them isn't staying open too long or something. Also, it doesn't hurt to try stock injectors with a stock ecu.

Right im going to try swaping out the whole fuel rail injectors and all. And both stock ecu and stock injectors are in there. It idled fine all the way to normal temp but as soon as I touched the throttle it went nuts.

Nope didn't work swapped the whole fuel rail fpr and all with another stock one. Didn't change a thing.

Is it possible to have a crossed wire or a short somewhere down by the ecu? There seems to be alot of taped up wires and wires running all over the place from an old AFC that was installed years ago.

Checked it everything is good.

Im thinking cam angle sensor because it is a 96. Thoughts on this?
