Alright so here's my situation, I bought my 90 gsx about a month ago and knew it had a bad tranny in it when i bought it ( bellhousing was destroyed) so I bought a completely rebuilt 91 tranny. I bought an exedy stage II clutch kit put it in, everything was goin good until I started it up. The clutch wont engage at all no noises no nothing just a dead pedal.(properly bled the slave 2 times), the pedal does have some pressure against it(not sure what it should feel like seeing as I have never gotten to drive my car) but after you push the pedal to the floor and let it back up it sticks about 2 inches from the top, i have to reach down n pull it up by hand. Please let me know what ya'll think about this! Any help would be greatly appreciated (I REALLY WANNA DRIVE MY CAR!)

Did you get the flywheel resurfaced when you replaced the clutch? I'm not sure about exedy clutches, but I remember ACT clutches needing the flywheel to be resurfaced to a specific step height for proper operation. Contact exedy and ask them what is the required flywheel step height is for their clutch, and get that flywheel resurfaced to their specs.

Thanks for the reply and advise, I had thought about my flywheel also, my clutch kit came with a flywheel but I wasnt abale to put it on at the time, I'm in the process of pulling my tranny back out, so when i do that I will definitely replace the flywheel. I definitely appreciate the suggestion dude! Anyone else with some advise I'd greatly appreciate it.

Yep indeed the shift calbes are different the 91-94 models are approx 1.5cm longer for the select lever. I have fixed that problem and my tranny slides right into gear, I just have no clutch to work with :thumb: thanks for the post tho.
