Just recently my clutch has been losing pressure. I have a act2600 and my clutch is usually real stiff and just lately after starting it up I go to push in the clutch and its way too easy and the engagement point is a lot lower than once before. I have noticed that my fluid does tend to get low. The biggest thing I have noticed is the HUGE spot of something or other under the drivers side dash, to the left of the clutch pedal by the kick panel. Looks like a real bad leak I would think. What are your guys thoughts, kind of common sense yes I know. Should I just buy a whole new master cylinder or try to fix the existing one. Thanks.

Buy the whole master cylinder ....it's not that expensive. What has happened is the seal on the back of master cylinder has ruptured and now it has leaked down the fire wall under your carpet and floor mat.

With a heavier clutch like the 2600, might as well change the slave cylinder and the rubber clutch line to a ss piece, it's just a matter of time before they go as well.

Good idea........however I already have the stainless steel clutch line and taboo clutch fork. I will check my slave cylinder as well but definitely change my master cylinder. Thanks.

Where do you guys suggest I buy a master cylinder? I would like to order one asap. And how hard is the install? Thanks
I looked on vfaq for specifics but I only found slave cylinder write ups. Thanks again guys.

Buy, OEM. The aftermarket ones are crap (don’t last long). And when installing it don’t take the pin/bracket out of the pedal assembly, just unscrew the threaded piston out of the bracket, and screw the new one in, learned that the hard way the first time, LOL.

It's not too hard but be carefull with the nuts on the clutch hardlines when taking them off the master .....they can strip quite easy. I used a flare nut wrench 10mm. it's a boxed in end wrench that makes stripping a nut very hard to do.
