Well...we've been having problems with a car for about a week now. I was on the freeway driving it back to the owners house after replacing a clutch, clutch slaver cyclinder, clutch master cylinder, slave extention rod, throw out bearing and rack & pinion assembly. We also put on some plug and play headlights and a CF hood, and Megan Racing BOV. The car started right away the first time and we drove it around. It started off driving like crap. Car idled fine but the engine sounded like a lawn mower. I got on the freeway and drove about 10 miles and it DIED ON ME!!! When it died it sounded like a tractor or really loud lawn mower! So i finally got out of the car and had people stop on the freeway to help me push the car over to the side of the freeway. We got it towed to the shop and here's what we found....
Took the fuel feed line off the fuel rail to see if the car has fuel going to the fuel rail and it does....
Checked spark plug wires for spark and no spark...
Figured the spark wires went out so we replaced em with new ngk's. Didnt work....
We figured the coil pack went out so we replaced the coil pack with a working one that we had extra laying around. Didnt work, still no spark....
Check ignition fuse... was good and we still replaced it just in case. Didnt work, STILL no spark....
What else is there left to check? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!
The car is a 97 GST 7bolt...
