Okay so I'm new to the DSM and have been reading all about how many problems come across and how one problem leads to the next but didn't really think it was going to be this bad.

I just had new bolts and washers put onto my exhaust manifold and also got it resurfaced on my 91 GSX. After about an hour or two after I got it out of the shop I'm on the freeway and in like 4th gear it just jerks, once, real hard and made sum weird clunking noise.

Well once I got off the freeway, making a right I start hearing what I thought was the turbo going out or sumthing ###. It was screaming really weird and like the turbine was hitting the side of the turbo or something. When I get to the stop and try to go it won't even move and just makes that weird clunking noise and stalls and started smoking from under the hood real bad. It would start up but it wouldn't move, not even when we tried to push it in neutral. So AAA came and brought me to the mechanic and my differential was bone dry, no oil came out what so ever. They started pumping oil through it and it was coming out so hot it was like water. Then filled it with oil and started it up and it was all pouring out of the seal or something. So he priced me up to 600 with a used differential and installation.

I'm really bummin it because I will basically be broke after I fix it. ANY info would be awesome, I really don't know anything about the differential, or even knew that it had its own oil! SO PLEASE ANYTHING WOULD BE NICE....

It is not your differential, it is the transfer case. If you had done some searching, you would know that the transfer case (tc) is recalled because they leak out of the rear seal and when dry, they lock up. Here is a link with info.

You should be able to find one from somebody for $100-$150 if Mitsu. won't fix it. I have one in my garage, and its a simple simple install.
