It all started yesterday. I put some octane booster from pepboys, that 104+ stuff. I was taking some logs that afternoon everything was lookin good. Parked the car, chilled for a couple hours then went to work. On my way into work I noticed it bogging down when i hit the gas from both an idle and when in gear, it was fine under boost though. On the ride home same thing. So I do a boost leak test found a vac hose popped off, figured that was absolutly the problem and went inside for the night. I go to start it this morning, and its even worse some how, the car now breaks up under boost, but idles fine. I tried leaning it out and richening it up on afc2, nothin. Plugs are 2 weeks old, wires are about a month old, new head gasget too. All new belts, tb and tensioner, all maintenence is done except a fuel filter which i have, but i dont think it would all of a sudden clog up like that. Everything looks good on the logger at idle.

Mods are, 3" turbo back, 2g o2 housing and manifold, hks vpc, afc2, still 450's (recently cleaned), walbro 255, aeromotive fpr, boost controller, upper ic pipe, I have a logger as well using mmcd.

I also have 650's, greddy TT, and an evo3 16g that are suposed to go in this weekend. Provided this gets cleared up.

Check your MAF connector.
Also, pull your ECU and take the cover off.
If you smell rotting seafood, then there is a capacitor leaking.
These exact same symptoms happened to a friend of mine, and we finally tracked it down to the ECU, got it repaired and now "she's a beauty Clark."

everything looks good on my wiring. ECU looks to be a refurbished non-eprom, no odor or any sign of any capacitor leakage.

Ok, took out my vpc today and all was good (except im back to 1g maf). The vpc wiring harness is pretty butchered, I guess I'm just gonna have to go over it carefully and see if i cant get it working again. Thanks Strm Trpr as your advice got me looking in the right places!
