o no think motor is trashed

well acouple days ago my car died. I was driving and it started ticking and lost power. Well i tried to get it home it just stopped running and wouldn't crank back over. When i got it home i took the valve cover off and i found a rocker cracked and laying in the valley. So i started to take everything off to take the timing belt off, when i got all the pulleys off i could turn the crank really easy. But when i try to turn it over with the starter it doesn't to anything, it sounds like it is locked up. After you do try it with the starter and you go back under the car and try to move the crank i herd this clicking noise and its kinda hard to turn, but if you turn the motor the other direction it will rotate freely. So im thinking the bottom end might be done. What do you think.

Might have busted the valve! Just pull the head off and confirm your worst thoughts. Get her back up and running in no time!

ya thats what i was thinking, just pull the head, i just dont see why the starter will not turn the motor over.

could i have killed the starter by trying to start it with the valves hitting.
