The first problem with the car is that it will not stay running with the 2g mas plugged in. If If I unplug it the car syas started and idles fine. But, I can't rev it past the 4k mark. I followed the vfaq on how to install the 2g mas in a 1g. So, I'm pretty sure its hooked up right. I have a dsmchip stage 3 and when I bought it at the time I had a 1g mas. So, I ordered it for the 1g mas. Would that be a problem? If so, is there a way I can get the chip changed without buying a new one? Also the 2g mas has the side and lower hc's out of it.

The second problem is I'm leaking oil. Its coming from the flex part of the downpipe. The turbo is new, has less then 1000 miles maybe a lot less not quite sure. I know the turbine housing is cracked everywhere inside. Would that cause it to leak?

You probably wired it wrong. Even without compensating for the 2g mas the cars should still start.

The oil leak could be a few different things. Are you sure it is coming out of the exhaust and not just dripping onto the exhaust?

The car will start if I keep reving it,it will stay running. If I don't rev it, it dies right away. I thought I might have wired it wrong, so I already rewired it twice to make sure it was correct. Could still be wrong though. I'll post which wires I have connected to what and you guys can tell me if its right or not.

As for the oil leak I'll double check tomorrow. But I'm sure its dripping from the bottom of the flex part of the dp.

Here is how I have the 2g mas wired in the 1g:

blue - green w/white
red w/black - green w/orange
black - green w/black
white w/black - green
pink - green w/yellow
green w/red - green w/red

Using a 2g mas plug also. If this is wrong, let me know.

Those aren't the colors of a 2g mas plug. So it make it more difficult, I'll do some checking and get back to you.

I tried uploading a pic and I couldn't get it to work. Looking at the back of the 2g mas plug from left to right #1, #2, #3, etc..

#1 to green/red
#2 to green/yellow
#3 to green/blue
#4 to red
#5 to green/black
#6 to green/orange
#7 to green/white

You may have it wired this way, but since I don't know what plug you are using this is easier.

That was the way I have it hooked up. Unless I need to wire them in reverse.

As for the oil leak. I took the exhaust manifold off didnt see no leaks. Dropped the oil return line off, still didnt see any leaks. After about 5 mins of looking up at my car and swearing a lot, a drop of oil landed on me. It can from the back bottom o2 housing bolt. So 10 mins later had the turbo off and o2 housing. The turbo had a lot of oil in it and just a little bit of shaft play. I can move it a tad in/out and up/down. Also the turbine housing had a lot more cracks in it than it did.

I had taken my old 16g to a local guy to rebuild. He had it for 2 months and said the company lost it he sent it to, to have balanced. Well after calling 3 times a week about my turbo he ended up buying me a new 16g, or so he said. This new 16g I've had for about 10-12 months and Ive only driven my car less then 1000 miles give or take. Due to the fact that 99.9% of the time its broken down . I have never pushed the turbo hard at all. What would cause a turbo to get up and die like that? I let the car cool before turning it off and use mobile one synthetic oil. Could the turbo be a knock off 16g?

Most turbo failures are due to contaminated oil. There is really no way to know unless you send it in for repair. Even then it is unlikely that you will find the true cause of the failure.
