Hey guys i been having a oil burning problem only at idle blue/ grey color smoke, i had my friend watch for smoke coming out from my muffler while driving and flooring it and he said he doesnt see any smoke coming out. So im guessing my valve guides/seals are no good. So i did a compression test my 1st time ever. i followed the instructions on this web site http://www.dsmgrrrl.com/FAQs/compression.htm
I took 3 different type of tests
Turning over for 10 seconds long
From left to right
#1. 185 #2. 200? #3. 175 #4. 175 <<< i tested #2 twice same results
Turning over 4 revs
Left to right
#1. 165 #2. 190 #3. 170 #4. 160
Wet test turning over 4 revs
#1. 205? #2. 200 #3. 190 #4.190<< I tested both 1 and 2, same results
I have 166xxx miles on my motor, and i have a small oil leak coming from the oil pressure sending unit, which i am replacing today , and i have a small crack on my valve cover on the timing belt side which also leaks a small amount of oil. I allways have to add a quart of oil about once every week or 2. Any idea on what could be my problem piston rings or bad valves?? thanks for your help in advance =)
