So recently I wrecked my GST and off couse I have the 4G63. It has been sitting there in a car port for about a week or two now and I have just now decided to start disassembling it... parts for people. The engine to me, seems like it is in very good shape, as in barely touch... just the radiator glanced it a little, and the cam gear cover was nicked off. But my question is... I checked the oil thru the cap... and there wasnt any oil that I could see. Like it was dry in there. Is there an external oil cooler that could have broken off and leaked oil? Where is the oil pan on the engine?
I havent checked the oil level yet because it is too dark to see out there right now.

Hey man, The oil is held in the botom of the motor in the oil pan....looking down the cap you will not beable to see anything maybe just a nice glaze over the internals of the head.
