I'm having a hard time figuring this out so im hoping someone can help me out here. I have a 93 gsx that i did a motor swap on. I'm having a hard time with the clutch. For example whenever i have the car on and try to put it into gear it wont want to go in. So i'll turn the car off and put it into gear then turn it on and it'll want to move even with the clutch pushed in. Right now i have the same tranny although i installed a new fidanza flywheel to go with my act 2600 clutch. Can anyone help me figure out whats wrong. ive looked around and cant seem to find anything definitive about this topic.

P.S i didnt change the throw-out bearing or anything all i did was install the flywheel and align it with the clutch then installed. Im not sure if i did anything wrong. Ive tried adjusting the cables on top of the transmission but nothing seems to work:mad:

first off you should always relpace the TOB when doing a clutch, but this is not your problem. You problem is that you need a longer push rod that goes in your slve cylinder and pushes on your TOB arm. It should be about a 1/4 inch longer somtime I start a little longer and grind it down if need be. Also check your clutch pedal assembly to make sure it it not all loose because somtimes they get worn and stripped out and need to be welded or replaced I just weld them hen they last forever, but most likely you need the longer pushrod which can be bought but I would just make one. its cheaper and you dont have to waut for it to be deliverd.

makes sense. although regarding the TOB. all i did was replace the flywheel not the clutch although id see why i probably should of. Now regarding the pushrod how can ahold of one? i've never heard of this before i just figured maybe something went wrong. To update all i did was install a different flywheel and put it back together. i move the shift linkage around and gears go in just fine. But the moment i have the car on and try to put it in any gear it wont go in. Then when i have the car off and put it in gear and turn it on its quick to move as if i didnt have the clutch pedal pushed in so it starts to move unless of course i put my foot on the brake. My question now is how can i get ahold of this pushrod and does it mean i have to drop the transmission again?
