so I have the 6 foot extension for the car side of the translator but it pretty much seems useless because the other side that plugs into the maf is less than a foot long. I would really like to put my translator in my glove box please give me some ideas on what to do
thanks

I did this for a buddy. I ut the connector off with enough wire left to solder back together., Then just added on and ran the wires and soldered it up thats probably the easiest.
Good Luck

I had the same problem. The extension doesnt do you too much good unless you cut all the wires for the origional MAF and add wire. I did them one at a time and marked the wires as I ran them through the firewall.

Makes tuning alot easier. Well, not a lot easier, but its nice being able to adjust it from inside the car. I'm lazy ok.:p

No offense, I was just curious. I'm not thrilled about it sitting in my engine bay where I have a pretty solid black/polished look going. Stupid pink bubble letters. Yuck.

I feel like I've been painting/coloring over everything these days. Trim this, bracket that, stupid ugly ass I-pass device. I wish it was like photoshop...dump the bucket and fill with desired color!:D

you guys are saying the extension cable doesnt come wired correctly to plug and play? wtf, thats ###.

why not just sell spools of wire and tape. and call it a maft kit.

No, you buy the extension for the GM MAS but you still need to build your own extension for the stock DSM MAF.

so, you are buying only half the parts you need to relocate it. so when it says, add extension so you can mount it in the cabin, they are only givin you half of what you need, but making you believe your good to go.

So this is false advertising? http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=2409&
"The Maf translator has changed the face of DSM tuning with such a great product but previously it was hard to mount because the stock wires are only 1-2 feet long. This extension cable plugs directly in and allows you put the Maf-T box on the firewall, in the glove box, or anywhere else that's available!"

Exactly!!!

I bought that same thing, 2g kit.
if its not complete and i have to Fab wires I will complain.

Sure unough i got my package today,

Their "complete maf extension kit" is missing the wire from the gm maf to the translator

all you get is the cable from the box to the car. how ####
