ok, its a 90 tsi awd. the car sat for 5 years because of a blown motor, so i got it for free and put a motor in it. the problem is when im driving it, and i hit a bump, the left rear makes the car feel like im gonna lose control. like i hit a bump and the whole rear shoots over towards the drivers side. it doesnt do it on passenger side. i checked all the bushings and they all look good, could it just be a bad strut. its bad though, like on the freeway the other night cruising at 75, hit a bump and the car moved alot, like the lights pointed towards the passenger side of the road it got so sideways. under a launch it kicks out to the left just a little bit as well, just until it catches traction. any info would be helpful.

Ya sounds like you have a blown strut. Go to the trunk and push it up and down and see if it has a lot of play.

That's what mine did when I had a blown strut and bad bushings. Jack up the rear and see if the tire has any play (You could turn mine left to right like the fronts ). It was definitely not a pleasant experience driving it that way.
