I changed my timming belt a few weeks ago and i noticed that I have a pretty good timming leak. I checked my timming belt and it has oil on it. I suspect the balance shaft belt tensioner. Could this be it? Do you guys normally use loctite or something on these bolts? Also I broke off one of the crank shaft pully bolts. Is this the same thing http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1925& If not where can I find one? Besides mitsu dealership. Thanks

The balance shafts do not have any belt tensioner on them. The timing belt is tensioned by the auto tensioner which if you compressed it too fast it will then have leaky seals forever. But if you are getting a lot of oil it sounds more like an oil seal on some shaft. Search this forum for timing belt oil leak for possibilities.

Check to make sure both bolts on the auto-tensioner for the timing belt are tigtened down. When we did my timing belt a week or two back, it sprayed oil out like crazy. The timing belt was soaked and it had a steady leak.

Tightened the tensioner back down, problem solved.

It's always a good idea to replace the auto tensioner and the crank and cam seals. Since you're already in there hanging around and all.

Good Luck

Thanks for the info guys. What about the crank pulley bolts. Im afraid that if I take it off again that they will break also. So I wanted to replace them all. Is the link to sloboy racing the ones I need?? If not is there a site that I can get them?
