WaterPump/TimingBelt.. How Hard??

ok.. I looked at my waterpump today,even bought a new one, now.. My car isn't a turbo and I oly have about a inch from my waterpump pulleys to the side of my car, How do I get at it, Do I need to pull the engine out to change the waterpump and Timing Belt?? The Timing belt looks like new, but the car has 230 000Kms on it, I dunno if it is the original. Any feedback would be great!!!

No you do not have to pull the engine. You may wind up pulling out your hair before this is over with.

1 Get a factory service manual or download from http://www.vfaq.com
2 Buy a timing belt kit. This consists of a belt and idler pulleys
3 Purchase from your local Chrysler dealer an auto tensioner.
4 Purchase your water pump as it probably needs changed anyway.
5 Look closely at your crank pulley. If it looks a little weird, get a new one as these things go bad all the time.

Well I looked at my Timing belt.. It looks good. No cracks from what I see but that is small sections at a time.. My water pump doesn't leak, I just have a loud rumble almost rattle comming form that area, I dunno if it's inside the casingor just the pulley. The pulley does look a little warped though. I can't move it by hand but when the engine is running it does wobble about 1/16th-1/8th of a inch.. I just want that noise gone.. It worries me, I've been diving with the pulley like this for 9 months now, I just can't figure out how to change it.. No room to stick your hands in there!!
