I continue to hit a fuel cut like barrier at around 4-4500 RPM, I cant understand what the issue is! The motor ended up blowing. So i replaced it witha nwere lower mileage motor. ( 95' TSI AWD/ 97' GSX motor) But the fuel cut issue persisted. I still have the same turbo and FP, but thats about it.- so it could it be the wastegate or the FP. S16G turbo, stock fuel pump. HELP PLEASE!

Boost leak test is the 1st thing to always try when your having fuel cut issues. Odds are you wont have a boost leak if your car is doing the same thing after having everything apart and replaced. Do a boost leak test and pressurize it to 20-25 psi and see how long it holds (watch your boost gauge). If that comes out alright, I would borrow and ECU from a local and try that out.
