95 ESI A/T Wont Start

I have looked through the pages and am not quite sure on what the problem is.
Before the winter when i got my car it kept on stalling once i came to a stop, or once i have just started it and go down my drive way put it into drive and it stalls, mostily every morning. Then when going about 80km or 100km on the hwy it seems to jump or sputter...but it only does this once in a while...
In Nov. it started to snow so i parked my car and i was working on it and listning to music and killed my battery, and obviously wouldnt start. I let it sit seeing now i didnt need to start it. So today i got a yellow top battery and put it in. When i turn the car on the lights go on and everything seems to be working but will not turn over. Seeing how my car is stock it shouldnt be that hard to figgure out. I think it might be the starter but just wanted to check with you guys first

Sounds like the starter... it can't be much else if you just replaced the battery. Do you hear a click when you turn the key, or no?

no clicking just sounds like how it would right before it starts but it doesnt turn over..

Hey fellow Dsm'ers i got my Talon up and running!
i was trying to see what the problem was and got tired of looking...and i realized that if the starter is sounding like it should right before it fires up its not the starter...duhh..
so i held in the gas turned on the car with it to the floor and it started so i was quite happy and how i can get my fiberglassing done...
