Went to a friend's house to drop off something. As I was remote-starting the car, I hear ONE click, and car dies. I get in the car, turn to ON, get a litte light on the Apex'i TT, turn to START, car completely dies (no more lights or anything).

Jump started the car, seemed fine. Backed up, and put in first to go, not 2 secs after the car started moving, the ABS light flickered a bit, car bucked, and dies as it's moving. Jumped again, same thing happened.

Is it my battery or alternator that's dead? The voltmeter on the Apex'i TT reads from 13.4 to 14.4 after the car got jumped and it was idling.

The AAA tow truck driver did a test and it showed the alternator was charging the battery though...

After I got the car back in the garage, I couldn't start it by itself (no lights, no power AT ALL, nor any cranking).

Thanks!

Tested, charge was good, the AutoZone guy did a higher resistance than a standard starter and it only went down to 11V. Since it had charge, it would rule out the alternator right? Also, since the car can be started when jumped, it would rule out the starter right?

Visually checked fuses, and they looked to be good. Should I check every one of them for continuity?

How many grounds are there to check?

Thanks!

If you have to jump start. It's for one of two reasons. Battery won't take charge, or alternator is not charging. Only other option is when you hooked up your jumper, you helped the battery connection by clamping the jumper on.

Check for loose cables if the alternator and battery are proven good.

well let me start on earning my wings.. go to walmart and get a new set of battery terminals for a marine battery with the wing nuts on them ditch your ground terminal clean both post extremely well install the new black terminal take your positive clamp style terminal and clean it good reinstall and your problem should be gone. Hasn't failed on any of my dsm's yet

Thanks for the help everyone! It was the negative terminal which was deformed. I guess it didn't make enough contact with the terminal on the battery. After replacing that, the car started right up.

However, now I've got a new problem. I don't have power to the accessory circuit, I guess. When I open the door w/the car off, no lights go on, the radio will randomly come on for a few seconds (it was on for a bit then died when I shifted gears, then intermittently came on). Also, I think it beeped randomly (not positive if it's the radio or the turbo timer).

It's fixed, I left the radio/interior lights fuse up in the box :|
