winnipeg,
I have a 90 Talon TSI AWD no mods. I'm running lean on 1 and 2 , 3 and 4 are nice. Engine runs smooth, sometimes hard to start. i've checked everything I can think of but cannot find whats causing this. Any help or insites would be welcome.

fuel pump whining? also when was your fuel filter changed? well basically what have you checked and how did you check it?

I'm going by the plugs. Yes the filter is new, I don't own a fuel pressure gauge or a data logger. i did have to fix some worn through wireing on the injectors. I'm starting to think it's a fuel delivery problem because of the hard starting. I'm going to see if I can get it in to my mechanic and put it on the scanner. I hope that will give me some idea of where to start looking.

is the fuel pump whinning? also you can check your injectors by taking them off and putting a 12v power source to the postive and see if they open.

Yes some of the free mods have been done to this car. They were done before I bought it. Never knew there was a screw on the mass I will definitley have to look into this. Does anyone have a picture of what I would be looking for? If I was to reset this screw how many turns from bottomed out would be the factory setting? No the fuel pump is not whining , you cannot even hear it at all. I have a friend who is going to check the injectors for me.
