Not really a problem, just a question. I was wondering if my external wastegate flange was bad if my boost would increase or decrease? I recently used some slicone gasket maker and it doesn't leak anymore but my boost will spike 15psi and settle down to 10psi. You think it's just a leak? Thanks for any help.

Sealing the flange would give you quicker spoolup (more exhaust energy going to the turbine), but if your wastegate vacume line is too long or boost controller is not hooked up properly, the faster spool could create a more noticable spike.

You do know that turbo exhaust manifolds can heat up to over 1500F and that even high temp silicone gasket maker is rated itermitantly to 700F. I'd used JB Weld on a crack on my old manifold once and it quickly burned off.

Also why 10psi on your setup  :dsm:

it's made of copper and it's sealed up. Would a slipping clutch cause this problem? It just started to slip pretty bad last night. I was only doing 10psi because I turned the boost all the way down. Turned it up again to 19 and it'll hold to redline in 1st if I don't launch but once I hit 2nd it'll spike 17 and go back down to 10 and 3rd will only hit and hold 10psi:confused: I'm about to put my new clutch and tranny in later this week. If the problwm still exist i'll be back for help:thumb:
