:coy: Hey guys I looked in the fourms as best as i could, and i couldnt find the answer i was looking for. I have a 97 gst spyder, and i was looking at used JDM motors. I dont think Japan made a front wheel drive version of my car, so BESIDES the tranny, what is the diffrence ? i need a motor fast and cheep, so i want jdm. Whats holding me back from using a jdm motor with a fwd rebuilt trans? help and links please.:coy:  :dsm:

it will work.....just get the JDM 4g63T and mount it to your tranny and drop it in.

AWD and FWD use different flywheels. So you need to make sure you have the correct one. It's gonna suck if you put the whole thing back together only to realize that you're using the wrong flywheel and the starter won't catch it. Trust me, I've done it. ;) But the motor is the same, as long it's a 7 bolt.
