p1249? no wastegate...

ok, cleaned egr valve due to a problem i had been having, replaced the gasket and all. Replaced exhaust gasket to fix what i thought might have been an exhaust leak. Started and ran a lot better, but then it through a code p1249. I'm n/t. What's going on here?

gah! just ran out there and cleared the code, trying to fix it. When i started the car, it shot up 3200 rpms and I quickly turned it off. WTF. So I found a hose, going from valve cover to intake plenum, was disconnected. So I put it on there, started car up, went to 3200 and then kept going to 4000 before I panicked and shut it off. Throttle cable is still loose, as loose as it goes. Would it have something to do with the EGR? Right after I replaced the gaskets, I took it for a test drive, and it drove great for a while. Got home, and check engine light came on. P1249. Help me please?
