hey guys i have a strange problem hopefully someon can help me with.as alot of you know i am doing alot to my car right now just finished the turbo swap and lots of interior fiberglassing and such.
i was going to try and turn over the car without starting just to make sure there wasnt any weried noises after my new rebuild when i put the key in and turned it to on the car tried starting already(mind you i said in the ''on'' position not start). once i noticed this i pulled the key out to get it to stop and the car continued to try and start with out the key in the tumbler. i had to dissconnect the battery to get it to stop.
any ideas?one of the head techs in my shop suggested the starter relay was bad but i dont understand how that woiuld affect it if it was trying to start in the on position.maybe if i went to start and it kept going because the relay is sticking.
the tumbler is brand new and was working the same day i pulled my engine to put the new engine in?any help would be great.i dont have access to an actual 90 manufacture shop manual.i have a haynes but those are worthless and chilton is any better.if anyone could get a good diagram for me and give me any ideas it would be great.thanks guys
