I drove my car this morning, it was fine.

Went out tonight to go to the store and it ran like crap and threw code 41....injector.

The way i look at it i have to check 3 things.
1: Make sure the connection is good.
2: Check to see if the ecu is triggering the injector
3: The injector itself

Give me any other suggestions as what to check.

well i would say, if you know which injector it is, then does it happen alot or does it just not fire? if you know which one it is, then try switching it to a different cylinder. this way if it happens again, you will know whether it is a bad injector, or if it is something right on that one cylinder.

Well, the problem is on cyl #2. The problem is not the injector. I pulled the injector clip on #2 and it didn't change idle at all. so with that clip off, i pulled the clip on #1, and idle got very poor. I hooked #1 clip to injector #2 to verify that the injector was working, and the idle improved. So injector #2 is firing with #1 clip.

It is either the ECU or wiring to it. I have called every autoparts store in my town, and no one had a noid light....WTF. I guess if there is continuity from the ecu to the injector clip, then it must be the ECU.

If it is the ECU, is it possible to splice the ground from another injector to get it to fire, or will it hurt the ecu more to do that?

I will post again after i check the wiring from the ecu to the clip.

Ok, it is comfirmed to be the ecu. I unpluggged the connector at the ecu and checked for continuity between there and the injector clip. The wiring is fine.

So as to my last question, can i just splice the ground for injector 2 with another one?

No it's not fine to run the injectors in parallel. You will quickly wind up with another injector driver not working.

Im in a similar boat with my friends 95. He had it running fine a couple days ago he changed the starter and lost two of his injectors. He swaped them around and all the injectors work fine. WTF
