Anyone figure out how to make the EVAP, EGR and FP soleniods stop clicking?

anyone ??? I've heard lots of people complaining in the past about the these solenoids clicking, but so far no solutions. They've been clicking and ticking after i removed all the vacuum lines.

Just wondering if anyone out there actually figured it out (without buying new ones)

By a 1g, remove the hoses, and then remove the solenoids. Wala, no cel and no clicking. :thumb:

Realistically, you cant remove the solenoids on the 2g without suffering from a cel. I would check with Jeff O at www.dsmchips.com and see if he could help you with your problem. I assume that you have an eprom ecu in your 95 and if so, he could burn you a new eprom with controls for those solenoids removed.

You can replace the solenoids with a equal load (resistor to replace the solenoid coil) and you shouldn't get any CELs from removing them.

cool, i've never heard of that one before...could you give me some more details on how to do this ? like where and what parts to get, and how to wire them up.

I'll try anything at this point.

thanks
