turbo questions

hi i was wondering what everyones thoughts were on a s16g? is it worth buying or not i found a smoking good deal on one and just wondered what everybody thought. im just trying to build a 13 sec reliable car.... im gonna install a supra smic, 3000gt fuel pump w/ rewire, 550cc injectors, 2g mas, and datalogger/safc combo.... just want a little info on the smaller 16g

I have a big16g and I am more than happy with it, I never loose, and have very little lag.

i really want a evo3 or b16g but i found a killer deal on a small 16g and just womndered if it would be allright for what i want... i read up on it and it seems like it flows quite a bit more then a 14b

You'll like it. But as usual if you're like me anyway you'll get greedy and want more. I have an Evo III right now and it's nice but as soon as I come across some money and good fortune
I think I'm going with a 50Trim or something to that sort. I see your FWD too as am I and the one thing I don't like is the wheel spin with the quick spool. You can ease it on and it pulls pretty decent, or if it's from a roll. But forget about a launch. If you've got slicks you should definitely be able to pull in some 13sec. on it. Without it it'll be close depending on skill.
Get that if it's a good deal though, you can always upgrade. Plus it's definitely better than stock

i bought the turbo and a 2g mas the turbo came with a 2 1/4" jpipe and the mas came with intake hose wires and box i got both mas and turbo for 200 oh turbo has little to no shaft play

small 16G will pull nicely, you will be pleased with it's performance, from a rolling start you should be hanging with stock corvettes.

My buddy is running a small 16G with a front mount, no fuel pump or bigger injectors and he hung with my 2001 corvette from a 40mph roll...

I let him throttle down first thinking "I might as well give him a chance and let his turbo spool" next thing I know he jumped a car length right off the bat from a 40 mph roll!! By the time we hit 100 I was just a tad bit in front of him, but I didn't think I was gonna catch him when he took off like that...

With injectors and a fuel pump I wouldnt have caught him, or if we had gone from a dead stop (all wheel drive) I dont know if I would have caught him... When I get my talon put back together I plan on embarrassing him with my 14b He wont even see it coming...

If hanging with corvettes isnt satisfying enough... go bigger...
