R131 On ECU for 93 Galant

Does anyone know what the resistor at location R131 in a 93 Galant ECU does? My ECU looks and smells fine, although that resistor looks differnet than the rest, like it may have gotten hot at some point. Only problem I am having at the moment is a cold start issue and i am wondering if the two are related. I have been looking for a board layout (not a pin layout) for the ECU but so far no one seems to have one.

try checking your coolant temp sensor. Ive had to replace several on various cars and that tends to be one of the symptoms.

Interesting thats one of the first things I tried, got one from advance and put it on. It wasn't till I got a copy of the service manual that I figured out they gave me the one for the dash gage and not the temp sensor that sends data back to the ECU. That one still hasn't been replaced.

I think this may be fixed now although I am not sure why. I also learned from the service manual that I had installed the throttle position sensor wrong (had taken that off when I needed to clean out the TB)... put that back on per the manual, adjusted the idle and ignition timing per the manual and so far the past two days the car starts right up! I am hopefull anyway...
