I had a problem that started after we welded up my exhaust the car wouldnt start and had no power. Well I fixed the ground and got power and it wouldnt start. I disconnected the clutch switch clip by the pedal. Then the car started up which was great but I need this switch for my 2 step to work. How do I fix this problem. My parts car is a 93 laser but it was non turbo so I dont know if the switch is the same or how to change it. Any help is great. Thanks

I had a similar problem recently. There is a little plastic button on the clutch pedal that makes contact and engages the clutch swith. Well, mine was old and brittle and just broke off. With the button gone, the clutch switch will not engage and the car wont start. Look under the dash and see if there is just a hole where the pedal makes contact with the switch. If so, get a new switch contact button.

Ok Ill check for that. If its there is there anyway to tell if the switch is bad or could it be the clutch relay? I need my 2step back I hate not having it. Also the way the clutch wire mod is put in for it can I just cut the after the clutch wire mod is spliced in so I wont need the clutch to turn it on but my 2 step will still work. Thanks
