white smoke

My car shoots out white smoke when it is a t full throttle and while the turbo spools up i was woondering if this ment the turbo was bad or if it sounds like the heads cracked. also when i turned the boost up more smoke shoot out when i would drive the car at about 4 psi nothing happens any help would help

white smoke is usually a sign of burning coolant...are you positive its white not blue? Blue smoke means ## buring oil...try to run a boost leak and a compression test and post ## results back...

I'm currently having the same problem mine looked white at first but now its blue
i did a compression test and everything thing was perfect checked the plugs and they were clean and looked good but how do i do a boost leaks test sry I'm new to all this also i just rebuilt the engine about 3000-4000 miles ago donno if that would create any other possible ideas

When testing for boost leaks test from the turbo inlet and the throttle body elbow. When testing you need to spray soapy water over everything. This will help you visually identify leaking areas. Don't forget about your intake manifold area. It's a common problem area. You want to hold 20 psi steady for 30 seconds or more.

To see if your turbo seal is shot pull off the Lower Intercooler Piping. You will see alot of oil in the pipe and where the pipe meets the intercooler. A slight oil film is normal.
