Fixed boost leaks and still problems *ME AGAIN*

My old thread was closed, I don't know why but it was. Sure it was extremely long but we were troubleshooting. As those who have read, I replaced my turbo. After doing so I finally got it running and now I'm still having the "fuel Cut" problem. The huge leak that was near the turbo is not there anymore. The car would not build boost past 10 psi with the leak tester. Now I can build 20 psi and it will hold from 20-10 for about 15-20 seconds and it will hold from 10-0 almost steadily until after about 5 minutes it will be at 0. As far as my logs go, I sold my datalogger and some parts. I was getting so fed up with the car I was parting it out and about to sell it until I decided to start with the new turbo. Hopefully you read this Bruce/Steve and you guys can help me get one step closer.

Okay, so you've boost leak tested. Where's it leaking from now? Spray bottle of water with a little bit of soap will help you find it in conjunction with your new tester. Really should be able to hold 15-20psi longer than that.

What do you have your fuel pressure set to (vac off)? Your profile only lists 'injectors', and not size. And is the SAFC still in the garage, or have you installed it yet? What boost pressure are you trying to run at? Do you have a datalogger to watch your DTCs? Are you still recirculating, or are you atmo-venting (particularly high boost levels will make the stock CBV leak... losing that 'counted' air without the recirc tube there)?

Evo III,FMIC,SAFC,FULL EXHAUST,DYNOTUNE A/F METER,Type S,Extreme Intercooler Pipes etc.

As of now I just have a small amount of blow by I would think. Little air coming from dipstick tube and breather. I wish Bruce would post because he is up to date and is very good with this.

I don't have an AFPR so my fuel pressure is stock. I don't have a boost controller on it so its running off the 10psi actuator.

I had my datalogger but I sold it when I was about to call it quits with the DSM's

I am recirculating :tease: I'm not a newbie.

I had it out for a long drive today. It boosts to 10 psi creeps to 11-12 and hits fuel cut. At idle it sits at about 15-17in.

I just want to get this thing down teh track before the seasons over :thumb:
 
Sounds like a boost or vac leak, almost certainly. Standard vac is supposed to be around 20in/hg... I usually drop to about 17 after a hard run, and 15 if I go up a few thousand feet in a half-hour or so; I'm almost certain that I have a vac line or TB leak.

Have you tested all of your vac and pressure lines?

Yes, the boost leak test would show leaks at any vac lines. With holding boost from 20-10 that long I should be fine at only 10 psi. I was getting real close to a fix in my past post but it was closed. It will be fixed some day :cry:

Lets just say its not my ECU, then where for i go next? I dont want to just be throwing money away. The fuel cut is the only problem with my car.

You're not fine leaking air like that. Why do you keep think you're fine for 10 psi? You have a boost leak, you need to fix it.
