my car a 1990 eclipse is not getting any fuel to the engine. before i replaced the fuel filter and pump i messed up the exhaust worse than it already was i broke the flex plip in the down pipe. then after that the cat would not start so i thought the fuel was empty so i filled it up and it still did nothing .so i changed the fuel filter it had rust color when i tipped it over. so i changed it and the car still will not fet any fuel . so i changes the pump to a walboro 255 and the car still would not get any fuel to the filter. the car has spark but not getting any fuel :dsm:

When you turn the key to the on position can you hear the fuel pump kick on? It will sound like a low hum. If the pump is working disconnect the fuel return line from the FPR and see if any fuel is coming out. If it is coming out the return you know that the pump, filter, and rail are good which only leaves the injectors. However if you don't have any fuel or just a trickle then either something is clogged or the pump isn't pumping.

I would definately start off by double checking you fuel pump install. Make sure all connections are solid. You can go to vfaq.com under fuel for instructions/pictures. As stated when the car is in the acc you should hear the fuel pump start humming. If all the connections are good on the pump than it could be a clog in the fuel line if it's not even making it to the filter.

Regardless of what people say, you wont hear the fuel pump hum just by turning the key to the on position. The 1g is designed so the pump is not energized until the engine begins to rotate. This is all controlled by the cas.

First, you should have a single wire located behind the battery that is the fuel pump test circuit. The connector resembles the oil pressure sensor connector but shouldnt have anything connected to it. Run a jumper wire from the positive terminal of the battery to this test wire. If you get fuel, you problem lies either in the mpi relay, cas, or ignition/fuses. If you dont get fuel when the jumper is connected, you have either a bad ground at the pump, bad pump signal wiring, or broken/cocked oring on the pump assembly. Like I said before, if you cant figure it out, let me know. I dont mind helping and 2 heads are always better than 1.
